Abstract

Dodecyl Alcohol adalah hasil campuran Laurate Methyl Ester dengan Hydrogen dengan katalis yang digunakan adalah Copper Cromite Oxide yang tidak berwarna dengan kemurnian 99,5% yang memiliki rumus molekul (C12H26O) dengan berat molekul 186,34 g/mol, mempunyai titik nyala 127oC dan titik didih 260oC. Dapat digunakan untuk bahan baku pembuatan deterjen, surfaktan, pengemulsir, pelumas, kosmetik dan farmasi. Pabrik Dodecyl Alcohol ini direncanakan didirikan di Kawasan Industri Kaltim, Kota Balikpapan, Kalimantan Timur dengan kapasitas 300.000 Ton/Tahun dan mulai beroperasi pada tahun 2028. Model operasi yang diterapkan adalah sistem kontinyu dengan waktu operasi 330 hari/tahun dan 24 jam/hari. Utilitas yang digunakan meliputi air, steam, bahan bakar dan listrik. Bentuk perusahaan ini adalah Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan struktur organisasi garis dan staff. Dari hasil perhitungan Analisa ekonomi didapatkan ROIBT = 39,16%, ROIAT = 27,41%, POTAT = 2,67 tahun, BEP = 42,26%, SDP = 14,27%, IRR = 22,01%. Dari hasil evaluasi ekonomi tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa, Pabrik Dodecyl Alcohol dari Laurate Methyl Ester dengan proses Hidrogenasi layak untuk didirikan.
