Eko Prasetyo, Program Studi Magister Teknik Sipil, Program Pascasarjana, Institut Teknologi Nasional Malang, Juli 2024, OPTIMALISASI SABO DAM TIPE TERBUKA SEBAGAI BANGUNAN PENGENDALI SEDIMEN MENGGUNAKAN SIMLAR V 2.0 DI SUNGAI GUMBASA KABUPATEN SIGI SULAWESI TENGAH, Tesis, Pembimbing I: Prof.Dr.Ir. Sutanto Hidayat, MT., Pembimbing II: Dr. Erni Yulianti, ST., MT. Abstrak Sulawesi Tengah memiliki sungai-sungai dengan karakteristik berkelok-kelok (meandering) dan tingkat sedimentasi yang tinggi, terutama di bagian hilir. Kondisi ini menyebabkan penumpukan sedimen yang meningkatkan muka air, sehingga saat hujan deras, terjadi banjir dan penggerusan di sisi luar belokan sungai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan bangunan sabo dalam menghadapi sedimen dan erosi di Sungai Gumbasa, menganalisis efektivitasnya menggunakan software SIMLAR V 2.0/HEC RAS 6.0, serta menilai kapasitas sabo sebagai penahan sedimen dan pemeliharaannya. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei foto udara dengan drone untuk memodelkan penampang sungai, pengukuran debit dan kecepatan arus menggunakan Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP), serta data material sedimen dari Laboratorium Uji Bahan Konstruksi. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa bangunan sabo mampu mengendalikan sedimen secara efektif dan meminimalisir risiko banjir di sekitar Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Gumbasa. Simulasi model numerik menggunakan persamaan kontinuitas dan momentum menghasilkan data kecepatan arus, debit, dan kedalaman yang mendekati kondisi lapangan. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi daerah rawan bencana di sekitar sungai untuk penerapan langkah pencegahan. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat membantu dalam perencanaan dan pembangunan infrastruktur pengendalian sedimen di wilayah berisiko tinggi, serta memberikan panduan bagi upaya mitigasi bencana banjir di Sulawesi Tengah. Kata kunci: sabo dam, sedimentasi, banjir, SIMLAR V 2.0, Sungai Gumbasa, pengendalian erosi, model numerik Abstract Central Sulawesi's rivers are characterized by meandering paths and high sedimentation levels, especially in the downstream areas. This condition causes sediment buildup, raising water levels, and leading to flooding and erosion on the outer bends of the river during heavy rainfall. This study aims to assess the capability of sabo dams in managing sediment and erosion in the Gumbasa River, analyze their effectiveness using SIMLAR V 2.0/HEC RAS 6.0 software, and evaluate the capacity of sabo dams as sediment barriers and their maintenance. Data were collected through aerial surveys using drones to model river cross-sections, discharge and flow velocity measurements using Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP), and sediment material data from the Construction Material Testing Laboratory. The simulation results show that the sabo dam structures effectively control sediment and minimize flood risks around the Gumbasa River Basin. The numerical model simulation using continuity and momentum equations produced data on flow velocity, discharge, and depth that v closely match field conditions. This study also identifies disaster-prone areas around the river for implementing preventive measures. These findings are expected to aid in planning and constructing sediment control infrastructure in high-risk areas and provide guidelines for flood disaster mitigation efforts in Central Sulawesi.
