Abstract

ARAHAN PENGEMBANGAN FESTIVAL BUNGA KOTA BATU SEBAGAI DAYA TARIK WISATA NASIONAL ABSTRAK Festival bunga merupakan salah satu agenda even rutin tahunan di wilayah Kota Batu yang memiliki potensi untuk dikembangkan. Namun sejauh ini masih belum terkelola dengan baik, hal ini ditunjukkan dengan kurangnya pemanfaatan potensi wisata festival bunga. Tujuan diadakan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui arahan pengembangan festival bunga Kota Batu sebagai daya tarik wisata nasional. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode statistik deskriptif, skala likert dan analisis SWOT. Dari analisis statistik deskriptif yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat beberapa potensi dan masalah pada wisata festival bunga diantaranya ada parade kendaraan hias bunga, festival seni dan budaya, karnaval fashion bunga, spot foto, kafe atau warung makan, aksesbilitas dan amenitas. Kemudian berdasarkan hasil analisis skala likert diketahui bahwa, faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan festival bunga meliputi aksesbilitas, fasilitas dan atraksi pada festival bunga Kota Batu. Setelah dilakukan analisis SWOT maka diperoleh kesimpulan dalam merumuskaan arahan pengembangan festival bunga Kota Batu sebagai daya tarik wisata nasioanl dimana strategi yang digunakan dan diprioritaskan yaitu strategi SO yakni strategi yang dirumuskan dengan cara menggunakan seluruh kekuatan yang dimiliki kawasan festival bunga untuk memanfaatkan seluruh peluang sebesar-besarnya. Kata Kunci : Arahan Pengembangan, Festival bunga, Daya Tarik Wisata DIRECTIONS FOR DEVELOPING THE BATU CITY FLOWER FESTIVAL AS A NATIONAL TOURISM ATTRACTION ABSTRACT The flower festival is one of the annual routine events in the Batu City area which has the potential to be developed. However, so far it has not been managed well, this is shown by the lack of utilization of the flower festival tourism potential. The purpose of this research is to determine the direction for developing the Batu City flower festival as a national tourist attraction. This research was conducted using descriptive statistical methods, Likert scales and SWOT analysis. From the descriptive statistical analysis that has been carried out, it can be concluded that there are several potentials and problems in flower festival tourism, including flower float parades, arts and culture festivals, flower fashion carnivals, photo spots, cafes or food stalls, accessibility and amenities. Then, based on the results of the Likert scale analysis, it is known that the factors that influence the development of the flower festival include accessibility, facilities and attractions at the Batu City flower festival. After carrying out the SWOT analysis, conclusions were obtained in formulating directions for developing the Batu City flower festival as a national tourist attraction where the strategy used and prioritized was the SO strategy, namely a strategy formulated by using all the strengths of the flower festival area to make the most of all opportunities.
