Abstract

Teknik Mesin Diploma Tiga. Dosen Pembimbing : Ir. Drs. Boedijanto, MT Proses pembuatan tusuk sate secara manual tergolong pengolahan yang memakan waktu lama, oleh karena itu dibutuhkan suatu alat yang mampu bekerja untuk meningkatkan proses produksi tusuk sate. Mesin pembuat tusuk sate ini dibuat untuk dapat meningkatkan proses produksi dan meminimalisir waktu produksi. Laporan tugas akhir ini membahas tentang material dan perhitungan kekuatan material pada konstruksi mesin tusuk sate. Material yang digunakan adalah besi siku ST 37 dengan ukuran 30x30 mm dengan panjang 600 mm, lebar 400 mm, tinggi 800 mm dan menggunakan plat dengan tebal 2 mm. Sumber penggerak alat ini adalah motor listrik dengan daya 0,5 Hp, 2800 rpm dan menggunakan pully dengan diameter 350 mm dan diameter poros 20 mm. Komponen pada konstruksi yang ditinjau adalah rangka bagian atas dan dudukan motor listrik. Tahap selanjutnya adalah perencaan yang meliputi mendesain gambar dan perhitungan desain untuk menentukan komponen-komponen yang akan digunakan dalam tugas akhir ini. Tahap terakhir yaitu proses produksi dan perakitan serta pengujian alat. Hasil dari struktur rangka diperoleh tegangan maksimum sebesar 2,2 kg/mm2. Tegangan tersebut tidak melebihi tegangan ijin sebesar 26,4 kg/mm2, sehingga dinyatakan aman. Kapasitas produksi mesin ini adalah 40 tusuk per menit.
