Abstract

Raya Karanglo Km.2 Malang E-mail : dikagombel@gmail.com ABSTRAK Tidak semua manusia diciptakan dengan keadaan mata yang normal, ada pula yang mengalami gangguan penglihatan sejak lahir. Pada tahun 2012 terdapat data sekitar 3,5 juta penduduk Indonesia mengalami kebutuan, jumlah tersebut pasti akan bertambah tiap tahunnya. tunanetra biasanya mengalami kesulitan untuk mengetahui nominal pada uang kertas. Alat bantu yang sering digunakan tunanetra untuk membedakan nominal pada uang kertas adalah berbentuk box. Box tersebut sebagai alat bantu pada saat melakukan transaksi usaha dan jasa dalam kegiatan di setiap harinya. Pada makalah ini telah direalisasikan suatu alat pendeteksi uang kertas yang dapat mendeteksi nominal pada uang kertas. Dalam perancangan sistem menggunakan mini computer Raspberry Pi 3 model B+ sebagai kontroler, menggunakan satu buah kamera untuk mengetahui jumlah nominal pada uang kertas dan bantuan satu buah LED untuk membantu pencahayaan pada kamera agar bisa menentukan titik fokus yang tepat. Selain itu earphone sebagai outputan ketika kamera mendeteksi adanya uang kertas yaitu berupa suara. Dari hasil pengujian alat secara keseluruhan, alat pendeteksi nominal uang kertas dapat membedakan jenis uang kertas beserta dengan nominalnya masing masing secara otomatis. From the results of testing tools overall, nominal banknote detection tool can distinguish types of banknote with the face of each automatically.
