Abstract
TYPE NACA 6412 TERHADAP KARAKTERISTIK TURBIN AIR CROSSFLOW Zulfahmi Mahatma Ahmad Program Studi Teknik Mesin S-1, FTI Institut Teknologi Nasional Malang JL. Raya Karanglo KM. 2, Tasikmadu, Kec. Lowokwaru, Kota Malang, Jawa Timur 65153 (0341) 417636 Email: mahatmazul@gmail.com ABSTRACK Electrical energy is the main energy needed for electrical equipment / energy stored in the electric current in amperes (A) and the electric voltage in volts (V) provided that the need for electric power consumption is in Watts (W) to drive motors, lighting , heats, cools or drives a mechanical device to produce another form of energy. Piko Hydro Power Plant is a power plant that can produce energy of less than 5 kW and can be classified as a small-scale power plant. In this research, the type of water turbine that will be used is a type of reaction turbine, namely the crossflow water turbine. In the manufacture of crossflow water turbines, the tests were carried out in the energy conversion laboratory of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Malang, using NACA 6412 blades. The tests used variations in flow rates including 4 l / s, 8l / s and 12 l / s. and guide vane angles 0⁰, 15⁰, and 30⁰. The test used NACA 6412 blades, the number of blades was 14, the length of the blade was 2.2 cm, and the blade height was 2 cm. The test results obtained are variations in shaft rotation (rpm) and gate angle affect the results of shaft rotation, power and turbine efficiency. At this time, the highest results were obtained at an air flow rate of 4 l / sec with a guide vane angle of 0 ° with the test results for the shaft 1967,2 rpm, turbine power 1319,65 watts, and a turbine efficiency value of 48,24%. Lowokwaru, Kota Malang, Jawa Timur 65153 (0341) 417636 Email: mahatmazul@gmail.com ABSTRAK Energi listrik adalah energi utama yang dibutuhkan bagi peralatan listrik/energi yang tersimpan dalam arus listrik dengan satuan amper (A) dan tegangan listrik dengan satuan volt (V) dengan ketentuan kebutuhan konsumsi daya listrik dengan satuan Watt (W) untuk menggerakkan motor, lampu penerangan, memanaskan, mendinginkan atau menggerakkan kembali suatu peralatan mekanik untuk menghasilkan bentuk energi yang lain. Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Piko Hidro adalah suatu pembangkit yang dapat menghasilkan energi listrik kurang dari 5 kW dan dapat diklasifikasikan sebagai pembangkit listrik berskala kecil. Pada penelitian yang akan dilaksanakan ini jenis turbin air yang akan digunkanan Pembangkit listrik tenaga mikro hidro (PLTPH) adalah jenis turbin reaksi yaitu Turbin air crossflow. Pada pembuatan turbin air crossflow, Pengujian dilakukan di labaratorium konversi energy Program Studi Teknik Mesin Institut Teknologi Nasional Malang, menggunakan sudu NACA 6412. Pengujian menggunakan variasi debit aliran meliputi 4 l/s, 8l/s,dan 12 l/s. dan sudut guide vane 0⁰, 15⁰,dan 30⁰. Pengujian menggunakan sudu NACA 6412, jumlah sudu 12 buah, panjang sudu 2,2 cm, dan tinggi sudu 2 cm. Hasil pengujian yang didapat yaitu variasi putaran poros (rpm) dan sudut guide vane mempengaruhi hasil putaran poros, daya dan efisiensi turbin. Pada pengujian ini didapatkan hasil tertinggi pada debit aliran air 4 l/s dengan sudut guide vane 0° dengan hasil putaran poros 1967,2 rpm, daya turbin sebesar 1319,65 watts, dan nilai efisiensi turbin sebesar 48,24%.
