Abstract

Sodium hipoklorit (NaOCl) adalah larutan dengan konsentrasi 12% yang berwarna sedikit kuning dengan bau menyengat karena adanya kandungan hipoklorit. Sodium hipoklorit memiliki massa molekul 74,44 dan titik didih 111oC pada kondisi 1 atm. Sodium hipoklorit telah digunakan selama berabad-abad untuk pemutihan dan desinfektan. Saat ini, sodium hipoklorit (biasa disebut pemutih klorin) diproduksi secara massal dengan klorinasi soda ash dan digunakan di banyak produk rumah tangga. Sodium hipoklorit ini direncanakan didirikan di Kawasan Industri Krakatau, Cilegon, Banten dengan kapasitas 50.000 Ton/tahun dan mulai beroperasi pada tahun 2027. Model operasi yang diterapkan adalah sistem kontinyu dengan waktu operasi 300 hari/tahun dan 24 jam/hari. Utilitas yang digunakan meliputi air, steam, bahan bakar, dan listrik. Bentuk perusahaan ini adalah Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan struktur organisasi garis dan staff. Dari hasil pehitngan analisa ekonomi didapatkan ROIBT = 38,44%, ROIAT = 26,91 %, POT = 2,71 tahun, BEP = 47,71 %, SDP = 11,87 %, IRR = 29,01 %. Dari hasil evaluasi ekonomi tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa , Pabrik Sodium Hipoklorit dari Sodium Hidroksida dan Gas Klorin dengan Proses Klorinasi layak untuk didirikan.
