Abstract

Natrium hidroksida (NaOH) sering disebut juga sebagai soda kaustik karena memiliki sifat yang korosif terhadap kulit. Natrium hidroksida murrni memiliki bentuk berupa padatan putih rapuh dan bersifat mudah menyerap air dan karbon dioksida yang berada di udara. Natrium hidroksida merupakan bahan kimia dasar yang sering dimanfaatkan dalam beberapa industri, seperti industri pembuatan sabun dan deterjen, industri petrokimia, industri bubuk kertas dan kertas, industri pupuk, industri bahan peledak, industri pelarut, dan indsutri lainnya. Pabrik NaOH ini direncanakan didirikan di Permisan, Kec Jabon, Sidoarjo Jawa Timur dengan kapasitas produksi 70.000 ton/tahun yang mulai beroperasi pada tahun 2027. Model operasi yang diterapkan adalah sistem kontinyu dengan waktu operasi 330 hari/tahun dan 24 jam/hari. Proses pembuatan NaOH yang digunakan adalah dengan proses elektrolisa menggunakan sel membran. Utilitas pabrik meliputi air, listrik, steam, dan bahan bakar. Bentuk perusahaan ini adalah Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan struktur organisasi garis dan staff. Dari hasil perhitungan analisa ekonomi di dapatkan BEP = 40,07%, ROI = 46,95%, POT = 1,6 tahun, SDP = 14,99%, IRR = 39,17%.
