Abstract

Gliserol merupakan bagian penting trigliserida (lemak dan minyak) berbentuk cairan kental tidak berwarna dan tidak berbau yang memiliki rumus kimia C3H8O3. Gliserol mudah larut dalam air tetapi tidak larut dalam karbon tetraklorida, kloroform, dietil eter, karbon disulfide, dan benzena. Gliserol banyak digunakan sebagai pelembab pada industri kosmetik dan pemanis dalam industri makanan. Pabrik Gliserol ini menggunakan bahan baku NaOH, Epiklorohidrin, dan penambahan air untuk proses Hidrolisis. Pabrik Gliserol ini direncanakan didirikan di Kawasan Industri Gresik, Sekarsore, Desa Roomo, Kecamatan Manyar, Kabupaten Gresik, Jawa Timur dengan kapasitas produksi 50.000 Ton/Tahun dan mulai beroperasi pada tahun 2027. Model operasi yang diterapkan adalah sistem kontinyu dengan waktu operasi 330 hari/tahun dan 24 jam/hari. Utilitas yang digunakan meliputi air, steam, bahan bakar, dan listrik. Bentuk perusahaan ini adalah Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan struktur organisasi garis dan staff. Dari hasil perhitungan analisa ekonomi didapatkan ROIBT = 37,02%, ROIAT = 30,22%, POTBT = 2,5 tahun, POTAT = 3,5 tahun, BEP = 43,85%, SDP = 12,31%, IRR = 29,97%. Dari hasil evaluasi ekonomi tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa Pabrik Gliserol dari Epiklorohidrin dan Natrium Hidroksida dengan proses Hidrolisis layak untuk didirikan
