Abstract
Amonium sulfat adalah garam kristal yang berwarna putih dengan kemurnian 99,8% memiliki rumus molekul (NH4)2SO4 dengan berat molekul 132,14 g/mol. Pada umumnya, ammonium sulfat digunakan sebagai bahan baku pembuatan pupuk karena mengandung 21% nitrogen dan 24% sulfur. Hampir sebagian besar dimanfaatkan sebagai pupuk terutama untuk beberapa tanah yang kekurangan kandungan sulfur atau dengan pH tinggi. Pabrik ammonium sulfat direncanakan di Kawasan Java Integrated Industrial and Ports Estate (JIIPE) Gresik, Jawa Timur dengan kapasitas 130.000 ton/tahun dan mulai beroperasi pada tahun 2028. Model operasi yang diterapkan adalah system kontinyu dengan waktu operasi 330 hari/tahun dan 24 jam/hari. Utilitas yang digunakan meliputi air, tenaga, listrik, bahan bakar, dan limbah. Bentuk perusahaan ini adalah Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan struktur organisasi garis dan staff. Dari hasil perhitungan analisa ekonomi didapatkan ROIBT = 45,62%, ROIAT = 31,93%, POTAT = 2,4 tahun, BEP = 40,70%, SDP = 14,16%, IRR = 32,51%. Dari hasil evaluasi ekonomi tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa, Pabrik Amonium Sulfat dari Amonia dan Asam Sulfat dengan Proses Netralisasi dapat didirikan.
