Abstract

Benzil Klorida merupakan senyawa kimia berbentuk cairan yang tidak berwarna dengan kemurnian 99% yang memiliki rumus molekul C6H5CH2Cl dengan berat molekul 126,58 g/mol, titik beku -39 C dan titik didih 179,4 C. Benzil Klorida digunakan sebagai bahan baku pembuatan senyawa kimia lain seperti benzil alkohol, benzil butyl flatat, tribenzilamina, dan lainya. Pabrik Benzil Klorida ini direncanakan didirikan di Jalan Lingkar Selatan, Cilurah, Kepuh, Kec. Ciwandan, Cilegon, Banten dengan kapasitas 70.000 Ton/Tahun dan mulai beroperasi pada tahun 2029. Model operasi yang diterapkan adalah sistem kontinyu dengan waktu operasi 330 hari/tahun dan 24 jam/hari. Utilitas yang digunakan meliputi air, steam, bahan bakar, dan listrik. Bentuk perusahaan ini adalah Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan struktur organisasi garis dan staff. Dari hasil perhitungan analisa ekonomi didapatkan ROIBT = 41,02%, ROIAT = 29%, POTAT = 2,6 tahun, BEP = 36,18%, SDP = 9%, IRR = 28%. Dari hasil evaluasi ekonomi tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa, Pabrik Benzil Klorida dari Toluena dan Klorin dengan Proses Klorinasi Secara Langsung layak untuk didirikan.
