Abstract
Usage of medium that doesn’t ergonomics in working station might result in uncomfortable working in accomplishing job and result in hurt on worker’s organs that ultimately will result in decreasing of productivity. Therefore, company needs to pay attention to the extent to which the usage of worker medium in providing comfortable and supporting working safety that makes working becomes comfortable and endure. This research is conducted in PT X which operating in manufacture sector producing entertainment furniture. This research is started from observation and collecting documentation, photographs of working position, and interview. The documents are then processed and analyzed by using biomechanics analysis utilizing software of Managuin Pro v1.0 (Torsion analysis) and Ergomaster v2.5 (NIOS and RULA analysis) to know the cause of complaints perceived by operator. Then the researcher tries to simulate some working positions and choose the best ergonomics position from process of glue smearing and process of lamination. Result of the research showed that in the first manner score of torsion weight is 113 Nm, and score of RULA is 7. NIOS analysis is not conducted because it doesn’t lift up the burden. From simulation, it is gotten the best ergonomics working position, that is in standing position with has the least scores of torsion and RULA, in which torsion score in 96 and RULA score is 2. Design of medium in the from of table that can be automatically arranged up and down suits with ergonomics operator position (the chosen position), with table length and width are adjusted suit with working material. That is table with 120 cm in length and 80 cm width. Keywords : Working position, operator position, biomechanics analysis, Torsion, RULA
