Abstract

ABSTRAK Helm merupakan salah satu safety riding yang fungsinya melindungi bagian kepala pengendara sepeda motor, namun masih banyak yang sering mengabaikan pentingnya helm sehingga saat ini angka pelanggaran serta kecelekaan cukup tinggi. Makalah ini merealisasikan sebuah sistem yang dapat mendeteksi helm yang dikenakan oleh pengendara sepeda motor. Sistem pendeteksi helm ini menggunakan board mini-computer Raspberry Pi 3 B sebagai kontroller, satu buah kamera sebagai sensor untuk deteksi objek helm, sebuah buzzer untuk memberi informasi berupa suara, serta relay untuk saklar ON/OFF pada system kontak motor. Dari hasil pengujian sistem ini dinyatakan bahwa sistem mampu mendeteksi dengan akurasi yang cukup tinggi yaitu sebesar 83,3%. Secara keseluruhan dapat dinyatakan bahwa sistem ini dapat bekerja sesuai dengan perencanaan awal yaitu untuk dapat mendeteksi apakah pengendara mengenakan helm atau tidak, sehingga motor hanya dapat dihidupkan apabila pengendara mengenakan helm serta tujuan dari pembuatan sistem ini tercapai yaitu untuk mengurangi angka pelanggaran serta kecelakaan karena pengendara yang lalai melengkapi perlengkapan berkendara terutama helm. Helmet Detection System Worn by Motorcycle Riders For Safety Riding Based on Raspberry Pi Hafid Bahtiar I Komang Somawirata Aryuanto Soetedjo dhafidc@gmail.com ABSTRACT Helmets are one of the safety riding for motorbike riders that serves to protect the head. but there are still many who often ignore the importance of helmets, so that the current number of violations and accidents is quite high. This paper realizes a system that can detect helmets worn by motorcycle riders. This helmet detection system uses the Raspberry Pi 3 B mini-computer board as a controller, one camera as a sensor for detection of helmet objects, a buzzer to provide information in the form of sound, and a relay for ON / OFF switch on the motor contact system. From the results of testing this system it was stated that the system was able to detect with a fairly high accuracy of 83.3%. As a whole it can be stated that this system can work in accordance with the initial plan to detect whether the driver is wearing a helmet or not, so that the motorbike can only be turned on if the driver wears a helmet and the goal is to reduce the number of violations and accidents because motorists negligent completing driving equipment, especially helmets.
