Abstract

Raya Karanglo Km.2 Malang E-mail :Ekawatielisa09@gmail.com ABSTRAK Peternakan ayam memiliki dampak yang mengganggu terhadap lingkungan sekitar, salah satu dampak yang dirasakan langsung adalah bau menyengat gas amonia yang berasal dari kotoran ayam. Gas Amonia merupakan gas berbahaya yang dapat menimbulkan masalah kesehatan pada manusia dan hewan, seperti : mata berair dan gatal, hidung iritasi, sesak nafas, iritasi tenggorokan, kerongkongan, jalannya pernapasan terasa panas dan kering, dan batuk – batuk. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut maka dibuatlah sebuah sistem kandang ayam petelur otomatis yang dapat membuang kotoran ketika kadar gas amonia sudah melebihi batas aman yaitu 1.13 ppm. Dengan menggunakan Arduino Mega 2560 sebagai mikrokontroler , Sensor MQ-135 untuk memonitoring kadar gas amonia, dan conveyor untuk membuang kotoran. Dengan menggunakan sistem ini akan memudahkan pihak peternak dalam memonitoring gas amonia di kandang sehingga dapat meminimalisir dampak negatif terhadap ayam dan lingkungan sekitar kandang. Raya Karanglo Km.2 Malang E-mail :Ekawatielisa09@gmail.com ABSTRACT Chicken farming has a disturbing impact on the surrounding environment, one of the effects that is felt immediately is the pungent odor of ammonia gas that comes from chicken droppings. Ammonia gas is a dangerous gas that can cause health problems in humans and animals, such as: watery and itchy eyes, nasal irritation, shortness of breath, throat irritation, oesophagus, breathing process feels hot and dry, and coughing.. Based on these problems, an automatic laying pullet cage system was created that can remove chicken’s droppings when the ammonia gas levels have exceeded the safe limit of 1.13 ppm. By using Arduino Mega 2560 as a microcontroller, Sensor MQ-135 to monitor ammonia gas levels, and conveyors to remove chicken’s dropping. By using this system, it will be easier for farmers to monitor ammonia gas in the cage so that it can minimize the negative impact on chickens and the environment around the cage. The limit of ammonia gas levels reached is 0.60ppm to 24.13ppm Keyword : MQ-135 Sensor, Chicken Coop, Ammonia Gas.
