Abstract

International Council of Museums (ICOM) adalah lembaga tetap yang tidak mencari keuntungan dalam melayani masyarakat, terbuka untuk umum, serta merawat, artefak jati diri manusia di masa lalu untuk kepentingan pendidikan dan rekreasi. Tujuan Arkeologis adalah menyusun sejarah kebudayaan, memahami perilaku manusia, serta memahami proses perubahan budaya, maka ilmu ini masuk pada ilmu Humaniora. Ilmu yang berkaitan dengan Humaniora antara lain Sejarah, Antropologi, Geologi, Geografi, Arsitektur, Paleoantropologi dan Bioantropologi, Fisika, Metalurgi dan Filologi. Pengkajian Museum Arkeologi penting pada Manusia Purba, Hewan Purba, serta kebudayaan pada masa itu. Tema Arsitektur Modern adalah bangunan dengan gaya yang mengutamakan kesederhanaan dan menghapus ornamen.Tujuan penulisan skripsi ini adalah memberikan wawasan pada pembaca mengenai Museum Arkeologi di Kota Madiun.
