Abstract

Baja karbon adalah baja dengan 0,12-2,0% karbon sebagai pengotor utama. Ini didefinisikan oleh American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI).Baja dianggap sebagai baja karbon 1. Ketika tidak dituliskan kandungan minimum untuk kromium, kobalt, molibdenum, nikel, niobium, titanium, tungsten, vanadium atay zirconium, atau elemen lain 2. sedangkan kandungan tembaga minimum tidak melebihi 0.40 persen; 3. atau kandungan maksimum elemen berikut ini tidak melebihi persentase berikut: mangan 1.65, silikon 0.60
