Abstract

Some cities in Indonesia, has implemented ATCS system, but the utilization of ATCS has not been maximum because the signal arrangement between the intersections have not been coordinated. This research developed optimization offset signal model used Cell Transmission Model (CTM). The results of the application the model on a grid network with 9-intersection using the artificial data obtained the optimum offset signal is the offset signal 1_2 intersection 12 seconds, the offset signal on 1_3 intersection 39 seconds, the offset signal on 1_4 intersection 33 seconds, the offset signal on 1_5 intersection 3 seconds, the offset signal on 1_6 intersection 120 seconds, the offset signal on 1_7 intersection 72 seconds, yhe offset signal on 1_8 intersection 9 seconds, and the offset signal on 1_9 intersection 120 seconds with the minimum total delaying is 51033 seconds. Results of model testing on 2-intersection signal coordination in Malang found the differences model results with observations of 3%, so the proposed model can be used.
