Abstract

Propandiol – 1,2 merupakan salah satu bahan kimia yang sangat penting didalam industri seperti dalam industri farmasi, obat-obatan, industri makanan ,kosmetik dan lain-lain. Dipasaran propandiol – 1,2 dikenal sebagai propylen glikol dengan kemurnian antara 95 % sampai 99 % dan impurities air 1 % sampai 5 % yang dikemas dalam berbagai macam bentuk seperti botol ,drum dan curah. Adapun pembuatan propandiol-1,2 pada pabrik ini menggunakan proses hidrasi propilen oksida dengan katalis asam sulfat. Pabrik propandiol-1,2 ini direncanakan didirikan di daerah Batam dengan kapasitas 60.000 ton/tahun dan waktu operasi pabrik selama 330 hari per tahun, 24 jam per hari. Bentuk perusahaan ini adalah Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan struktur organisasi garis dan staff. Dari hasil perhitungan analisa ekonomi, didapatkan Total Capital Invesment (TCI ) sebesar $ 13,761,513.61, Rate On Investment setelah pajak (ROIAT) sebesar 24 %, Pay Out Time (POT) sebesar 2,78 tahun dan Break Event Point (BEP) sebesar 31,29 %. Dari hasil analisa ekonomi tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pabrik Propandiol-1,2 ini layak untuk didirikan.
