Abstract

Silika dioksida (SiO2) adalah serbuk padat berwarna putih, tidak berbau, tidak berasa serta tidak larut dalam air. Silika dioksida memiliki massa molekul 60,08 gram/mol serta titik didih 2.230 oC pada tekanan 1 atm. Dikenal dengan nama IUPAC dioxosilane, silika dioksida memiliki kemurnian 91,5%. Silika dioksida digunakan dalam berbagai industri seperti contohnya pada industri karet digunakan sebagai bahan campuran ban, sol serta bahan isolasi kabel. Pada industri kertas silika dioksida digunakan sebagai bahan pengisi pori-pori kertas sehingga dihasilkan kertas yang lembut. Pada industri makanan dan farmasi digunakan sebagai bahan aditif anti-caking dan anti gumpal pada produk berbentuk serbuk. Pabrik Silika dioksida (SiO2) di Indonesia direncanakan berlokasi di daerah Gresik, Kawasan Industri Gresik (KIG) Karangturi-Gresik, Jawa Timur dengan kapasitas 70.000 Ton/tahun dan mulai beroperasi pada tahun 2026. Model operasi yang diterapkan adalah sistem batch dengan waktu operasi 330 hari/tahun dan 24 jam/hari. Utilitas yang digunakan meliputi air, steam, bahan bakar, listrik. Bentuk perusahaan ini adalah Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan struktur organisasi garis dan staff. Dari hasil perhitngan analisa ekonomi didapatkan ROIBT = 61 %, ROIAT = 37 %, POT = 2,42 tahun, BEP = 30,9 %, SDP = 9 %, IRR = 41 %.
